DO Stamping With The Stars #423 Holiday Treat Package Inspiration Hop

Hello friends!  I hope you all had a greatThanksgiving! Can you believe November is almost over? Have you started your holiday shopping? I honestly have not!

Today's inspiration hop features holiday treat packages.  Check out mine below.
This box was cased from a YouTube video by Carol Brown titled Make An Elegant Gift Box With Stampin' Up! Products. This is a bigger treat box!  But, who likes A LOT of treats during the holidays?  ME!!  The box measured 2" x 3" x 6" so it will hold treats and/or toiletries.  It is just a really nice size box.

I used the beautiful Snowflake Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper for the top of this box and Lost Lagoon Cardstock for the bottom.  I added a tag using the next to the largest tag from the Tailor Made Tags Dies.  The bottom of the tag is the Lost Lagoon cardstock, and then I used the striped vellum from the Vellum Basics Specialty Designer Series Paper to add an additional layer to the tag.

The two snowflakes were die cut out of the white and silver paper from the Snowflake Magic Specialty Designer Paper using the Chic Dies.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Classic stamp set using silverheat embossing powder and fussy cut around the words.  The ribbons are the Silver & White Sheer Ribbon and Gold & Silver 1/8" Trim Combo Pack.

Measurements:
Cardstock:  10-1/2" x 8"
score on long side at 3", 5", 8", 10" and on short side at  2"

Designer Series Paper: 8-1/8" x 7-1/8"
scored short side at  2" and 5" and on long side at 3" and 5"

DO Stamping With The Stars #422 - Sketch Inspiration Hop

Hello Friends and welcome to this month's Stamping With The Stars Sketch Inspiration Hop.  I am so glad you are here to see November's sketch.  Have you ever wondered what the "DO" stands for with my blog posts?  Well, it stands for Dawn Olchefske. She is the leader of the team of which I am a part with the Stampin' Up! Company.  She has these awesome blog challenges twice a month.  One is always a sketch which is this one. So, let's get started!

Here is the sketch:

And here is my interpretation of the sketch.

The focus on this card is the beautiful designer series paper called Garden Walk.  This pack of 6 x 6 paper has beautiful floral designs on one side and coordinating designs on the backside as what is featured in this card.

I punched out the gorgeous poinsettia with the 2-3/8" circle punch.  The white frame was created using 2 circle dies from the Stylish Shapes dies.  I taped the 2 next to the largest circle shapes together and die cut this to make the frame. I love the stitching that these dies make on the cardstock.

I wanted to have the white boarder along the panel of designer series paper which helps it pop next to Pretty Peacock cardstock.

The inside has a piece of white cardstock with a little 1/2" strip of the designer series paper from which the poinsettia was punched.

After stamping the sentiment from the Throughout the Year cling stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink, I needed a little extra for this card.  I added a few gold Blooming Pearls embellishments as well as a double bow from the Real Red & Garden Green Ribbon Combo Pack.  I also added a bit of Wink of Stella clear glitter on the veins on the poinsettia just to try to bring out the contrast.

Measurements
Pretty Peacock cardstock: 4-1/4" x 11" scored at 5-1/2"
Basic White cardstock: 3-5/8" x 5-1/2",  5-1/4" x 4" (inside), scrap pieces for sentiment and frame
Garden Walk Designer Series Paper: 3-1/2" x 5-1/2"- front panel, 1/2" x 4-1/4" for inside of card, plus enough to cut out the poinsettia circle.
