Stamping With the Stars #DOswts381 Pinwheel Inspiration

 Stamping In Savannah presents...

Welcome to another Stamping with the Stars Inspiration Hop. Pinwheel cards are so much fun to make and are MUCH easier than they look!

To make to the pinwheel that is attached to this card, you will need 2 squares of cardstock measuring 2-5/8" and 8 squares of Designer Series Paper (DSP) that measure 1-1/4".

I like using two different coordinating DSP.
1. Glue the 2 pieces of 2-5/8" squares together as shown here, one on top of the other at an angle.
2. THIS NEXT STEP IS THE HARDEST OF THE EASY STEPS! Glue ONLY the back right side of one of the DSP and glue down, leaving a border as shown. (It will make sense later on! I promise!)
3. For the next 6 squares, just alternate DSP squares, gluing completely down, leaving a borders. One will be glued like a square and the next one like a diamond.
4.  When you get to the last square, put glue on the back, but you will tuck the RIGHT SIDE under the first one.  (Now you know WHY we didn't glue the first one completely down!) After, apply a bit of glue under the left side of the first square.
Ta-Da!  You now have a beautiful pinwheel to add to a card base. (You can also watch a video on how I made this here.)

Measurements:
Card Base: Garden Green Cardstock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4"
Mat: Pale Papaya Cardstock 5-1/4" x 4"
Embossed Mat: Basic White Cardstock 5" x 3-3/4"
Pinwheel:(2) Garden Green Cardstock 2-5/8" square
Designer Series Paper: 2 coordinating colors
Cut 4 from each 1-1/4" square
Sentiment: Pale Papaya Cardstock (die cut using smallest Stitched Rectangle die) scrap about 2-3/4" x 1-1/2". If NOT using dies, the actual size of the mat is 1" x  2-3/8"
Basic White scrap 2-1/4" x 3/4"
Inside mat: Basic White 5-1/4" x 4"
DSP strip 4" x 3/4"

I hope you enjoyed this hop!

Stamping With The Stars #DOswts380

Stamping in Savannah presents another....
Here is the sketch inspiration:
And here is my version... Made with the Exclusive Sale-A-Bration *FREE Friendly Hello Stamp Set and Designer Series Paper!
This paper is so pretty. I went with a monochromatic look.  The Pool Party cardstock has always been one of my favorite colors with Stampin' Up!
(Did I mention this paper is *FREE with a qualified purchase?) Sale-a-bration ends on Feb. 28th, so be sure to order before the end of the month. There are so many pretty colors in this Designer Paper Series.  They all remind me that spring is coming soon!

I added a panel using the Timeworn 3D embossing folder.  This is a carry-over item from the July-December 2021 Mini-Catalog. I just love how it adds another dimension to the sketch. It was attached using Stampin' Dimensional.
The image and sentiment were stamped using Gray Granite ink and Pool Party Stampin' Blends were used to color the bird and the flowers.  I wanted just a touch of color on the flowers so I added a Touch of Stella along with the Pool Party to give them a little more boost.

I think it is always important to finish off the inside of a card with a panel of Basic White if using a colored card base.  Adding the small flower in the left corner using the Pool Party ink adds just a touch to the inside.
Measurements
Pool Party cardstock:  card base 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"

Here it is! My very first FACEBOOK LIVE!!!

Hello everyone!
Welcome to my very first FACEBOOK LIVE presentation.

Today I shared a sweet fun fold project.  With Valentine's Day just around the corner, this sweet little gift is perfect for a child, grandchild, work friend, or even your UPS driver!  And, yes, it involves candy!  A full-size Kit Kat candy bar.  I picked up a 10-pack from SAMs for around $8.00.

You could use any stamp set, cardstock and DSP to recreate this.  I was inspired to do this from a Halloween treat holder found on Pinterest.  I used the Nuts & Bolts Cling Stamp Set from the January-June Mini Catalog. It is such a fun stamp set!
Here are the measurements:
Highland Heather Cardstock:  4 3/4" x 6"
scored on the 6" side at 2 3/4" and 3 1/4"
Real Red Cardstock: (mat)  2 1/2" x 4 1/2"
Designer Series Paper: Sweet Talk  2 1/4" x 4 1/4"
Basic White and Highland Heather Cardstock scraps: sentiment using Layering Circle dies
Ribbon: Double-Stitched Satin ribbon, about 16"

I hope you try and make this fun project.  It was incredible easy!  Let me know what you think of the video!
