#DO417 Stamping With The STARS - Color Combo Inspiration Hop

Welcome to our 2nd monthly Inspiration Hop from Dawn Olchekske's STARS.  This hop features three Stampin' Up! colors that I would NOT normally want to use together: Bubble Bath, Calypso Coral and Garden Green.  However, after many different attempts and searches on Pinterest, I am pleased at how mine turned out!  Here is my card.

This card features the Delightfully Eclectic 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper (DSP).  As you can see below this is very much an eclectic array of paper.  This beautifully designed paper comes with 48 sheets, 4 of each of the 12 double-sided designs!  That is an amazing amount of paper. The DSP on my card was matted using the gorgeous Bubble Bath Cardstock.

I was inspired by a card posted on Pinterest made by Karen Jurisch.  My card is a book fold and incorporates the lovely Bubble Bath Sheer Ribbon from the 3/8" Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack that also includes Azure Afternoon and Lemon Lolly ribbon.  Y'all, this ribbon is amazing and ties so nicely!

The word happy was created using the Alphabest Photopolymer Stamp Set along with the cool little Best Label Punch.  What a fun way to create a card.  There are so many ideas that these two items could create!

The word birthday was stamped in the Garden Green Classic Stamp Pak using the Best Wishes Stamp Set and die cut using the Deckled Dies.   A little bling finished this card with a few Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Measurements:

Basic White Thick cardstock (base): 4-1/4" x 11", score at 5-1/2" and 4-1/4", plus scrap pieces for sentiments

Bubble Bath cardstock (mat): 4-1/8" x 4-1/8" and  1-1/8" x 4-1/8"

Delightfully Eclectic DSP (panels): 4" x 4" and 1" x 4"

I hope you enjoyed reading about this card.  You can click on any of the products below and it will take you directly to my online store in case you would like to purchase anything.  Until next time.

Happy Stamping!

#DO Stamp With The Stars 416 Sketch Inspiration Hop

WELCOME BACK! to another wonderful Sketch Inspiration Hop with Dawn Olchefske's Stampin' Up! STARS! I've been away from my blog since March due to some health issues, but I am again trying to post with the Stars twice a month.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card!

This is a simple card using the beautiful colors from the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper. This is such a fantastic set of paper that has a wide array of colors with which to coordinate.  I used Bubble Bath cardstock for the base and Highland Heather cardstock as a mat to the DSP, the inside panel, and the sentiment strip.

The floral elements were cut using the Textured Floral dies in Bubble Bath, Highland Heather, and Fresh Freesias cardstock as well as a few florals from our Vellum cardstock.  I completed this card with a bit of bling using Fresh Freesia Tinsel Gems.

I chose to make a thank you card because I am totally OUT of thank you cards! I used the Go To Greeting cling stamp set.  This was the first time I have used these stamps, and they are AMAZING.  There are four sentiments in 3 different fonts and sizes.  I am sure I will be using this set often.

Here is a picture of the inside of the card.  I glued one of the die cut floral elements that was cut in Bubble Bath cardstock.  I love to finish the insides of the cards I make.  I also prefer to write on the white cardstock.  I think this looks so elegant.

Measurements:

Bubble Bath cardstock (base) 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”

Highland Heather cardstock (mat) 2-7/8” x 5-1/2” and (inside mat) 4-1/8” x 5-3/8”

Basic White cardstock (inside) 4” x 5-1/4”

Scrap pieces of Bubble Bath, Highland Heather, Fresh Freesia and Vellum for floral elements.
