10/10 Embossing Folders

I DID IT!!! WHOOP! WHOOP!  I am finished with the Connect Ten Creative Challenge with this super easy card.  Doesn't it look like I painted this?  It is a piece of Designer Series Paper that has been embossed with the Painted Texture 3-D Embossing Folder!  (Below is a picture of the path I took for the Connect Ten Creative Challenge.)

 

The card base is Pool Party but it doesn't show up so well in these photos.  I love this color next to the black cardstock mat.  It really makes the colors pop!  I stamped the images using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink directly on to the DSP and then embossed it.  

This stamp set is called  On the Horizon and is only available until the end of June as part of Stampin' Up! Jan. - June Mini Catalog.  You can click on the right side for a PDF of the mini catalog. The DSP is actually from the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog called Hues of Happiness which has gorgeous flower images on one side and these painted, water-color looking images on the other sides. Of course, I had to add a bit of bling with the Solid Faceted Gems in Pool Party!  It is an great set of DSP and I look forward to using it this year in a variety of ways.

So here is my 2nd favorite suite.  It is called Forest Friends. What is the difference in a suite and a bundle you ask?  Well, a suite comes with stamp set(s), coordinating dies, Designer Series Paper, ribbon, embellishments, etc. while a bundle is the stamp set and either coordinating dies or punch.  You can find both the suite and the bundle for this set on page 46-47 in the Annual Catalog.  (Let me know if you would like an Annual Catalog, and I will get one out to you.)

These stamps are DistINKtive stamps, which means with only a single stamp  different opacities are created.  It looks more realistic with shading and shadowing.  I think this makes a perfect baby card or a child's birthday card.  I added a few embellishments (Fun Flower Resin Shapes in Calypso Coral and Bakers Twine in both white and gray granite).   All of the creatures and nature items were die cut from small scraps of paper I had saved.  White embossing powder was used to create the sentiment.

Sunday 7/10 and 8/10 Connect Ten Creative Challenge

Hello!  Welcome to cards 7 and 8 of the Connect Ten Creative Challenge. Today had to be a double day in order to finish by the end of the month! Hopefully, when I have the next monthly challenge, I will not wait until the end of the month to post everything!  May has been quite a busy month beginning with a trip to Tennessee and ending with having my 94 year old mother in the hospital. So, I apologize if these everyday blogs are blowing up in your emails.  I promise in the future I will attempt to limit them to no more than 2-3 a week.

Both of these cards have been CASEd from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog (pages 106 and 179).  CASE means to Copy And Share Everything. I changed the card on the left a bit, but the card on the right is basically exactly like the one in the catalog. (If you need a catalog, let me know.)

 

#7 Stampin' Blends  This stamp set, Sit Stay Relax, is only available for Host Rewards and comes with 9 stamps. The catalog picture used Pear Pizzazz, and   used Petal Pink. The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the Subtles 6" x 6" assortment DSP, and the cute lounging cats were colored with Petal Pink and Gray Granite Stampin' Blends. The new Stylish Shapes dies, that comes with 15 dies, (6 circles, 5 squares, plus 4 banners) is a fabulous set of dies to have, and I know I will use these often.

#8 Hostess Reward Products    This card features the Wildflower Path stamp set and uses the Design a Dream 12" x 12" Designers Series Paper.  This product is only available as Host Rewards and, guess what?  There is an error in the Annual Catalog.  There are 48 not 12 sheet in the reward, 4 of each 12 double-sided papers!!! The colors are so beautiful. Be sure to click on the product below to see the lovely sheets.   This card has a white panel that was embossed with the new Elegant Eucalyptus  3-D embossing folder.  The design was stamped prior to being embossed. It really adds a nice layer of texture.
