Stamping With The Stars #DOswts374

Stamping In Savannah Presents

Stamping With The Stars                   Sketch Inspirational Hop

Welcome to another Stamping With The Stars Blog Hop.                    Below is this month's sketch.

Let me first explain that I am out of town on a road trip with my husband and will not be back in Savannah until Nov. 11th!  We left on Friday, Oct. 29th and found out the next day that this blog would be due today!

We traveled to outside of Nashville, Tennessee to visit a few days with my sister and her husband before leaving to travel to Austin, Texas to see the grand babies. Thank goodness my sister is my one of my BEST Stampin' Up! customers because the only card supplies I brought with me was the new Ever Eden Designer Series Paper so I could look at it on the road.

So, now, here is my sketch inspiration.

I matted a white card base with a 5 1/4" x 4" sheet of the Ever Eden cotton paper.  Y'all this paper is so light and beautiful.  I can't wait to get home and try stamping on this paper.

I used a coordinating Ever Eden Designer Series Paper banner that was about 1 1/2" x 4 1/4" that I glued down.  I love how this shows through the sections of the Christmas tree.

It took me a couple of times to create the Christmas Tree. I know there are 2 rhombuses, and 4 triangles. I cut a triangle that was about 3 1/2" tall from the Ever Eden Designer Series Paper and just began cutting to mimic the sketch. It took two tries to get it to work.  I had to immediately glue each shape down because I couldn't seem to figure out where to place them.

Next I used my sister's current All is Calm All is Bright Paper Pumpkin for the sentiment and the trees that are stamped across the bottom edge, using her soft succulent ink spot and jet black stazon ink.  I am so glad she had those for me to use. I snipped the edges to look like a banner. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to raise this up.
I would have loved to have had some of my embellishments from home to add to this card.  I ended up giving the card for my sister to use.  After all, I am so thankful she had items that I could use to create this blog.

I hope you enjoyed this blog.
